‘তুরস্কে বাংলাদেশীদের গ্র্যান্ড ইফতার অনুষ্ঠান’
প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় এইবারও তুরস্কে অবস্থানরত বাংলাদেশীরা আবারো একসাথে ইফতার করলো ইস্তাম্বুলে। গত ২৪শে মার্চ রবিবার ইস্তানবুলের ঐতিহাসিক ফাতিহ মসজিদের পাশে একটি কমিউনিটি সেন্টারে আয়োজিত হয় “বাসাত গ্র্যান্ড ইফতার ২০২৪” শীর্ষক এই ইফতার অনুষ্ঠান। আয়োজন করে তুরস্কে অবস্থানরত বাংলাদেশী শিক্ষার্থীদের সংগঠন ‘বাংলাদেশ স্টুডেন্টস এসোসিয়েশন তুরষ্ক – বাসাত’।
বিদেশের মাটিতে দেশীয় খাবারের আয়োজন বিশেষ করে রমজানের ইফতার দুষ্প্রাপ্য। বাংলাদেশী শিক্ষার্থীদের বড় একটি অংশ যখন ছাত্রাবাসে থাকে তখন তা আরো কঠিন হয়ে যায়। তাই এই আয়োজন বাংলাদেশী ছাত্র-ছাত্রী এবং প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশীদের জন্য ছিল বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত। বাসাত এর সকল সদস্যের নিরলস পরিশ্রমের ফলে জমকালো আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে এই অনুষ্ঠান।
বাসাত গ্র্যান্ড ইফতার ২০২৪ এর প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ কন্স্যুলেট ইস্তানবুলের সম্মানিত কনসাল জেনারেল জনাব মোহাম্মাদ নুরে আলম। এছাড়াও বাসাতের ইফতার প্রোগ্রামে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ কন্স্যুলেট জেনারেল ইস্তানবুলের ভাইস কনসাল জনাব ইউসুফ আলী, তুরষ্কের সরকারি স্কলারশিপ তত্ত্বাবধানকারী মন্ত্রণালয় YTB এর ইস্তানবুল কো-অরডিনেটর জনাব এমরে ওরুচ, প্রবীন ইতিহাস ও শিক্ষাবিদ প্রফেসর ড. ইহসান সুরেইয়া সিরমা, তুরষ্কে বিদেশী ছাত্রদের সংগঠন UDEF, Bab e Âlem, TÜMED এবং তুরষ্কের প্রথম সারির সিভিল অর্গানাইজেশন TÜGVA, ADEV, TADD এর সভাপতি ও উচ্চ পর্যায়ের প্রতিনিধিবৃন্দ। বাংলাদেশীদের ইফতার সংস্কৃতি ও আতিথিয়েতার অভিজ্ঞতা নিতে বাসাতের গ্র্যান্ড ইফতারে তুরস্কে অধ্যায়নরত প্রায় ৩৩ টি দেশের স্টুডেন্ট অর্গানাইজেশনের প্রতিনিধি সহ তুরস্কের বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানের উর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তারাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন। ইস্তানবুলসহ তুরষ্কের বিভিন্ন শহরে অধ্যায়নরত বাংলাদেশী ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের পাশাপাশি, তুরষ্কে অবস্থানরত বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বাংলাদেশি প্রফেসরবৃন্দ, ব্যবসায়ী ও খ্যাতিনামা বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানে কর্মরত বাংলাদেশীদের পরিবারসহ স্বতস্ফুর্ত অংশগ্রহণে প্রায় তিনশতাধিক অতিথিদের মিলনমেলায় রূপান্তর বাসাত আয়োজিত এই অনুষ্ঠান।
পবিত্র কুরআন তেলাওয়াত দিয়ে শুরু হয় গ্র্যান্ড ইফতার। ইফতারের পূর্বে অনুষ্ঠানে আমন্ত্রিত বিশেষ অতিথিবৃন্দ এবং প্রধান অতিথি সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তব্য রাখেন। এছাড়া বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীরা হৃদয় জুড়ানো কন্ঠে বিভিন্ন হামদ-নাত গেয়ে অনুষ্ঠানের সৌন্দর্য বৃদ্ধি করেন। ‘বাসাত গ্র্যান্ড ইফতার ২০২৪’ অনুষ্ঠানের পরিচালনায় ছিলেন বাসাত সভাপতি ওমর ফারুক হেলালী এবং সার্বিক ব্যবস্থাপনায় ছিলেন বাসাত সাধারণ সম্পাদক নাসরুজ্জামান নাঈম। ইফতার অনুষ্ঠানে আগত অতিথিদের অভিব্যাক্তিতে ফুটে উঠে বাংলাদেশীদের, আপ্যায়নের প্রশংসা। বাংলাদেশের সংস্কৃতি, বাংলাদেশের মানুষের আন্তরিকতা, সংহতি, ধর্মপ্রীতি দেখে বরাবরের মতই মুগ্ধ ছিলেন অতিথিরা। বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের সফলতার ধারাবাহিকতা নিয়েও বিস্মিত হয়েছেন তাঁরা। সুন্দর, মনোমুগ্ধকর এবং সুশৃঙ্খল ইফতার অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজন এবং তুরষ্কে বাংলাদেশের সফল প্রতিনিধিত্বের জন্য আগত অতিথিরা আয়োজক কমিটিসহ বাসাতের প্রত্যেক সদস্যকে বিশেষভাবে ধন্যবাদ জানান।

Grand Iftar ceremony of Bangladeshis in Turkey
Once again, Bangladeshis residing in Turkey gathered together to break their fast in Istanbul, in an annual event titled “BASAT Grand Iftar 2024”, held at a community center near the historic Fatih Mosque on 24th March, 2024. The event was organized by the Bangladesh Students’ Association in Turkey – BASAT.
This event was eagerly awaited by the large proportion of Bangladeshi students & expats residing in Turkey as they got the chance to meet, greet each other and break their fast together in the holy month of Ramadan. The event was successfully organized through the tireless efforts of all members of BASAT. The Chief Guest at the BASAT Grand Iftar 2024 was Mr. Mohammed Nore-Alam, Honorable Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate Istanbul. The vice consul of the Bangladesh consulate general in İstanbul Mr. Yusuf Ali, Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Topluluklar Başkanlığı (YTB) İstanbul Coordinator Mr. Emre Oruç, historian & writer Prof. Dr. İhsan Süreyya SIRMA, presidents & higher level representative of renowned Turkish & civil organizations for international students such as TÜGVA, Bab e Âlem, TÜMED, ADEV, TADD and so on. The representatives of about 33 foreign student organizations in Turkey, senior officials from reputed institutions in Turkey, and professors from various internationally renowned universities were also present at the Iftar ceremony. The event was attended by about 350 guests including Bangladeshi students from İstanbul and different cities, Bangladeshi professors teaching in different universities, Bangladeshi businessmen residing in Turkey, expats working in different multinational corporations as well as guests from different countries including the local Turkish people.
The Grand Iftar started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by brief speeches from the guests of honor and from the Chief Guest. Bangladeshi students added to the program’s beauty by singing various islamic songs in their heartfelt voices. ‘BASAT Grand Iftar 2024’ was successfully organized under the supervision and management of BASAT president Omar Faruk Helali, secretary general Nasruzzaman Naeem and their team. The guests expressed their appreciation for the hospitality of Bangladeshis and were impressed by the culture of Bangladesh, and the sincerity, solidarity, and devotion of the people from Bangladesh. Everyone thanked the organizer of the iftar event & every member of BASAT for organizing such a great event & for representing Bangladesh successfully in Turkey.
