A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended Bangladesh Students’ Association in Turkey – BASAT’s Welcoming Breakfast for Newcomers today! It was wonderful to see so many new Bangladeshi students come together at the event. From meeting new faces to learning more about life in Turkey, today was all about fostering lasting connections within the BASAT community.
We were delighted to welcome around thirty new students from Bangladesh, who have recently embarked on their educational journeys across various programs at different universities and schools in Istanbul. The event was also graced by the President of the Bab-e-Alem International Student Foundation and esteemed guests from local Turkish organizations.
The program kicked off with a traditional Turkish breakfast, followed by a flavorful Bangladeshi lunch, and ended on a sweet note with Payesh for dessert. Following the recitation from holy Al-Quran, the newcomers introduced themselves, and BASAT members formally welcomed them to Turkey with flowers. We hope the food, conversations, and warm hospitality made everyone feel at home in Istanbul.
This is just the beginning. BASAT is committed to supporting Bangladeshi students across Turkey. We look forward to hosting similar welcoming breakfast programs in other cities, ensuring a warm reception for all newcomers.
