Our story
Bangladesh Students’ Association in Turkey (BASAT) is a Turkey-based non-profit volunteer organization of Bangladeshi students. Mostly focused on the integrity of Bangladeshi students living in Turkey, BASAT aims to increase cooperation between its member students, thereby, create a friendly cooperative community for them. Besides arranging various social and cultural events, BASAT also provides socio-economic as well as academic supports to Bangladeshi students here. Moreover, BASAT functions as the representative organization of Bangladeshi students in Turkey. BASAT aims to make a strong cultural bridge between Bangladesh and Turkey and to introduce Bangladesh here in Turkey by organizing national and cultural events as much as possible.
BASAT mainly works independently. However it also jointly organizes events with other large organizations such as Turkey Government Scholarship (YTB), Federation of International Student Associations (UDEF), Istanbul University, and so on. BASAT also works together with Bangladesh Consulate in Istanbul to celebrate national days and organizing various social and cultural events. Furthermore, BASAT has its own alumni branch, which works as a platform for the Bangladeshi graduate students from Turkey.
